In early 2016 I was looking to pursue glassblowing as a creative outlet. Something was drawing me back to it after dabbling in it over the past decade but this time there was an urge to dive deeper than before. It is an amazing medium to play with. With the torch you are able to turn it from a solid into a soft, flowing material like honey. You can twist it, stretch it, smash it, make bubbles then it cools and goes hard as a rock. The incredible malleable properties of glass, mixed with the colour pallette that are available, provide amazing opportunities for artists.

There was no intent on starting a business but when the bills for glass, propane and oxygen started piling up, it was only natural find a way for my flowery creations to pay for themselves. It didn’t take long to find the perfect place to stick my flowers. Glass and sex toys have been buddies for a long long time. I like glass, I like sex, flowers are pretty, it was an obvious solution. People were buying them almost instantly after getting them posted on Etsy. I love to make them and people want to have them, it feels really good.

Hedonic Glass has had an amazing fun first year. Full of support, growth and positivity from everyone around it. I can’t thank all these supporters enough. Family, friends, customers, wholesalers, people who “like” the pics on Instagram, Etsy, they are all huge factors in Hedonic Glass and it would not exist without them. So thank you.
